The Chu Culture in the southwest of Anhui Province is an important part of the research program of the Chu Culture. In the light of the archaeological findings of the recent years and some related documents, this paper analyses the influence of the Chu Culture on this area and the reason for the formation of the Chu Culture in this area. It further explores the fusion of the Chu Culture and cultures of the original inhabitants and the Wuyue people.
