Postmodernism abandons the syntactic continuity and uses a post-modernist approach of such a kind to “leave the center” to form a special kind of text. British postmodernist writer False’s novel The French Lieutenant’s Woman reconstructs Victorian history in the narrative, forming a parallel between literature and history and constituting the intertextuality of the text. The evolution of human freedom, human liberation, and postmodern narrative And other semantic units juxtaposed to reveal the diversity of meaning; for the story provides three unreal results, indicating the uncertainty of the world. The textual alternation of real and imaginary constituted by such parallelism reveals that history and reality are fictional and uncertain.
