1995年,法拉利为庆祝他半个世纪生日,推出了极品跑车F50。这是F50名字由来的一个主要原因,当然它也是F40的继承者。为履行一个继承者的责任,F50再一次将世界跑车水平向前推进了一大步。虽然法拉利暗示可能继续推出F60,但那将是下个世纪的事了。
