展亭坐落于密歇根湖千禧公园中央的一处独特的地方,一侧紧临密歇根大道。项目的本意是想吸引更多的人前来散步、游览和观光。整个项目是一个具有雕塑感、高度可及性且功能性很强的城市催化剂。基于对城市背景、项目类型及规模的考虑,UNStudio的设计既体现了现有规则的几何构造,又营造出富于动感和多维的空间效果。它很好地适应了城市环境和千禧公园的客流,引入了面向公园和城市环境的诸多景观。
Pavilion is located in a unique place in the middle of Lake Michigan Millennium Park, on Michigan Avenue. The project was designed to attract more people to come for walks, excursions and sightseeing. The entire project is a sculptural, highly accessible and functional urban catalyst. Based on urban context, project type and size considerations, UNStudio’s design embodies both the geometry of the existing rules and the dynamic and multidimensional spatial effects. It fits well with the urban environment and the passenger flow of Millennium Park, introducing many landscapes that are oriented towards parks and urban environments.
