It points out that design research, as a different research method and mode of knowledge production, needs close connection between design practice and proven theoretical reflection. We urge researchers to remain open and courageous to try and promote the improvement and development of design and research through the establishment of research institutes and the enhancement of interdisciplinary exchanges.
