火用概念的建立 ,为人们揭示能量的品质及其与环境的关系 ,提供了科学的理论依据。通过火用分析 ,我们可以更深刻地认识用能系统的薄弱环节 ,从而合理安排用能过程。在人文和社会科学中 ,大量存在着考察对象的数量与品质的关系问题 ,而且这种关系也显然是与它们所处的环境相关的。根据相似性原理 ,对所考察的系统与热力学系统之间的比较 ,以及对火用概念在经济学、人才学、行为组织学等学科中的应用 ,构想用火用分析方法 ,对社会科学中存在的数量与品质关系的系统进行严密的量化讨论。从而建立起以研究对象品质参数为基准的新型的品质理论 ,为系统的发展及其效能的优化指明方向 ,并为火用学的建立进行了基础性研究
