蔚县煤田属早一中侏罗世小型聚煤盆地,它是以一个形成于印支期的向斜构造为基础的。最初是许多岩溶凹地,而后逐渐联合成为湖盆。由于受南部隆起区不断向北推移的影响,最终转变为一个狄长的谷地。煤系沉积后,蔚县煤田区内的构造方向变成北东向,大规模的构造变形就是在燕山运动的早—中期完成的。进入喜山期,蔚县煤田区域产生了大规模的北西—南东向的张裂活动,特别是蔚县半地堑盆地的形成,大大地改变了区内煤系地层的赋存状态。
The Yuxian coalfield belongs to the Early Middle-Jurassic coal pyrolysis basin that is based on a synclinal structure formed during the Indosinian Period. Initially many karst valleys, and then gradually become a lake basin. Due to the continuous northward migration of the southern uplift, it eventually turned into a valley of Di Chang. After the coal measures were deposited, the tectonic direction in the Yuxian coalfield turned north-east. Large-scale tectonic deformation was completed in the early-middle period of the Yanshan movement. Entering the Himalayan period, the Yuxian coalfield developed large-scale North-South-East upheaval, especially the formation of the Yuxian semi-graben basin, greatly changing the occurrence of coal-bearing strata in the area.
