The Sino-French War was a famous anti-aggression war in modern Chinese history. Tang King-song was the only official in the war who took the initiative to request a trip to Vietnam and had some influence over the Qing government officials. The purpose of exploring Tang Jingsong’s mission and his actions in the Sino-French War help us to understand this historical figure and study the Sino-French War.
