The sensitivity of 196 clinical isolates to sparfloxacin was determined by the disk method and agar plate dilution method, and compared with lomefloxacin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin and enoxacin. The results of the disk method showed that the sensitivity of bacteria to sparfloxacin was 97.45%, followed by ciprofloxacin (93.36%), ofloxacin (92.85%) and lomefloxacin (91.32%), The lowest susceptibility to enoxacin (84.6 9%). The sensitivity of Gram-positive bacteria to sparfloxacin was slightly higher than that of gram-negative bacteria, which was 100% and 96.68%, respectively (P> 0.05).
