英语报刊阅读课程是高等院校英语专业高年级的一门重要的实践技能课,其主要目的在于培养学生阅读英美报刊杂志的能力,进一步提升英语水平。但是,实际的教学效果和预设的教学目标仍有一定的差距。本文从报刊阅读课的教学现状入手,深入剖析当前教与学的过程,从两个方面总结问题所在,以期为本课程的教学改革打下基础。 The English newspaper reading course is an important practical skill course in the upper grades of English major in colleges and universities. Its main purpose is to cultivate the students’ ability to read English, American newspapers and magazines and further improve their English. However, there is still a certain gap between the actual teaching effect and the preset teaching goal. This article begins with the teaching status quo of reading newspapers and periodicals, analyzes the process of teaching and learning in depth, and summarizes the problems from two aspects in order to lay the foundation for the teaching reform of this course.
