Any democratic transition requires the support of the people. The Anti-Japanese War officially ended on August 15, and the Allies stopped the bombing of Japan. In the following two weeks, however, the fire still burned in Tokyo’s sky before the U.S. occupiers arrived in Japan. The fire is put by the Japanese themselves.
