由于英汉文化的差别,使用英语国家的人和中国人对同一动物名词产生的联想有种种异同情况。针对这一问题,笔者列举了许多现实类动物名词,将它们的联想意义分为六种类型:(1) 相同;(2) 同中有异;(3) 相异;(4)异中有同;(5) 相同联想由不同类动物引起;(6) 此有彼无。最后,还简述了三对神话类动物的联想意义。本文力求通过对英汉动物名词联想意义的比较研究,从某一角度来展示语言和文化之间既密切又复杂的关系。
Due to the differences between English and Chinese cultures, people who use English-speaking countries and Chinese have similarities and differences in associations of the same animal terms. In response to this question, the author lists many real animal terms, the association of their meaning is divided into six types: (1) the same; (2) with the same; (3) dissimilar; (4) Same; (5) the same association caused by different types of animals; Finally, the synopsis of three pairs of mythological animals is also briefly described. This article seeks to demonstrate the close and complex relationship between language and culture from a certain point of view by comparing the associative meanings of English and Chinese animal nouns.
