This article summarizes some issues in the general contracting practice, including misunderstandings from the owner to the contractor on the general contracting model. The design institute has reduced the speed and effectiveness of the implementation of the general contracting, and there are blind misunderstandings between the Chinese and foreign joint ventures in the contractor’s strategic alliance. Design-construction general contracting is a key part of the general contracting strategy.
