“Bleeding Tip” is Pynchon’s first “9.11” novel. The uniqueness of this work is the selection of “Internet” as the background and metaphys for the whole book, which is ostensibly based on the conspiracy of transnational terrorism to provide an alternative narrative imagination. Deeply His motivation to write is to reflect on the multiple relationships between cyber-society and media and late-stage capitalism. In Pynchon’s view, the “September 11” incident is not an irrational historical mutation but a product of the interactive waves of the Internet wave, global capitalism and post-humanism. After this historical event, mankind’s reflection on the technology and politics in the information age will restrict the situation and future of people in the virtual reality space.
