新闻媒体科学地行使舆论监督功能,是建设中国特色社会主义社会的常态要求和基本要件,是社会发展和进步的必然趋势。媒体要顺应中国特色社会主义社会发展的历史进程,自觉地勇敢地承担起舆论监督的重担,科学地行使舆论监督功能,为社会进步、为维护人民切身权益多作贡献。科学行使舆论监督功能,要善于拿事实说话;善于运用法律武器依法监督;善于依靠党和政府的领导力量和执政力量;善于依靠广大人民群众这一舆论监督的坚强后盾;善于发挥和运用媒体沟通的方法和艺术,从而扩大媒体舆论监督的影响力和辐射力,最大限度的实现媒体舆论监督的价值和目标。
