经过两年的酝酿、发动和筹备,由中国油画学会发起并会同文化部艺术司、中国美术馆、中国美术家协会油画艺术委员会共同主办的“大河上下——新时期中国油画回顾展”,于2005年11月26日至12月7日在中国美术馆举办。本次展览集中展示了自1976年文革结束至今三十年来对推动中国油画具有较大价值的代表性作品249件,其中2/3的作品来自国内各美术馆、博物馆、收藏家和艺术机构,1/3作品由画家自藏。这些作品充分展现了中国当代油画的发展进程,具有重要的学术价值。三十年来,中国油画家立足生活、关注社会,从自身感受出发,大量吸收国内外优秀文化因素,在创作上取得了令人瞩目的成果。在不断的探索中,中国的油画艺术
After two years of brewing, launching and preparation, the “China Painting Up and Down - A Retrospective Exhibition of Chinese Oil Paintings in the New Era” co-sponsored by the Chinese Oil Painting Society and co-hosted by the Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture, the National Art Museum of China, and the Oil Painting and Art Committee of the Chinese Artists Association November 26, 2005 to December 7 at the China Art Gallery. The exhibition focuses on 249 representative works of great value for promoting Chinese oil paintings since the conclusion of the Cultural Revolution in 1976, of which 2/3 of the works come from domestic art galleries, museums, collectors and art institutions, 1/3 works by the artist self-possession. These works fully demonstrate the development of contemporary Chinese painting, which has important academic value. Over the past three decades, Chinese oil painters have made remarkable achievements in their creations based on their daily lives and their concern for the society, starting from their own feelings and absorbing a great deal of outstanding cultural factors both at home and abroad.
