荠菜,民间俗称地菜、荠荠菜、田儿菜。 荠菜被人食用的历史至少可以追溯到西周时代,《诗经》上就有“谁谓荼苦,其甘如荠”的诗句。到唐代时、荠菜已成为新春的食物。人们在立春的这一天,都要吃荠菜馅的“春饼”,还将以荠菜为主料的“春盘”作为节礼互相馈赠。
