The play “Big and Small,” a 1978 version by Hakata Strauss composed of ten little plays, shows the variety of characters and their mentality that the protagonist Lot meets when she looks for her husband, Bauer, across Germany. Lott longed to find her husband, find new friends, and trust and understanding between people, but she ran into trouble and hated it. Strauss in this work with its unique tactics vivid, vividly reflects the contemporary German people’s life and contacts, so that readers and spectators in various characters who see their own shadow, feel in self-deprecating To a trace of sadness.
