陈序经的全盘西化思想是在个人独特的中西生活体验、西化与反传统的时代氛围、亲人与友人的思想影响及西方文化人类学理论支撑等数种因素的作用下 ,逐渐形成的一套稳固的思想与理念。从陈序经西化思想的成因中可以看出 ,一方面 ,其西化思想始终贯穿着迫切救国的爱国热忱 ,他对西方理论的吸收 ,也富有主动创造性。另一方面 ,其西化思想的成因并不具普遍性 ,他的西化思想带有浓厚的个人情感偏向 ,对中西现实社会的认识也还很有限。
