Among the 24 projects approved by the Ministry of Agriculture (with a total funding of 43.8 million yuan), 14 projects under the auspices of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences are under the auspices of the Central Government. These projects are : Breeding demonstration and industrialization of new varieties of transgenic insect-resistant cotton; cloning of Taigu nuclear sterile gene in wheat; isolation and cloning of soybean cyst nematode resistance gene; isolation and cloning of wheat yellow dwarf resistance gene; Isolation and Cloning of Novel Genes for Verticillium Wilt, Cloning of New Anti-insect Genes and Efficient Insecticide Fusion
