In Lower Boehringer Georgetown, New Zealand, the combination of elements in uranium minerals has been studied in weathering order (mineral-soil-river sediments) in order to find the indicator elements that are suitable for finding uranium in the area. Statistics show that beryllium, copper and lead are good indicators of uranium in soils. In the sediments at the river bottom, only copper can indicate uranium mineralization of the river basins. Another sign of prospecting in river bottom sediments is the copper / lead ratio. A ratio of 0.80 and above the ratio clearly indicates the presence of uranium mineralization nearby. Obvious results have been obtained on a river that has not been found to have uranium anomalies in the past. Further work proves that there is mineralization near this river. This work proves that it is feasible to conduct uranium census surveys using soil and riverbed sediments in difficult areas.
