在讨论戏曲的推陈出新时,大家都十分关切秦腔艺术的前途。当前秦腔确实存在不少问题,我觉得关键是艺术质量问题。从戏曲美学的角度说,就是缺乏艺术美,即戏曲的艺术感染作用。戏曲的艺术美,包括内容美和形式美两个方面。秦腔优秀的传统剧目具有的艺术美,就是内容美和形式美的统一,二者既互相依赖,又互相促进。如《白蛇传》、《梁山伯与祝英台》,通过美丽动人的民间传说,表达了劳动人民纯真的爱情,《窦娥冤》、《赵氏孤儿》,通过感天动地的大悲剧,反映了人民群众强烈的爱憎;《连升店》、《杨三小》,通过喜笑怒骂、插科打诨的喜剧手法,在笑声中起到了惩恶扬善的作用……。优秀传统剧目的这种艺术美,是它几百年来流传不衰,
