Assessment of the analgesic action of vitamine B6 by tail-flick method and measurement of monoamine transmitter in brain by spectrophotometry were performed. The results demonstrated that vitamine B6 has an obvious analgesic action, which could be reversed by naloxone, a special antagonist of opioid receptor. Meanwhile,the serotonin content in the brain stem and diencephalon showed an obvious and corresponding rise with the time course of increment of pain threshold, but for NE and DA, no marked change was observed.
