韩国的高等教育普及率一直以来远超经济合作与发展组织(OECD)国家的平均水平,2008年曾达到历史最高的83.8%。然而在这一让他们骄傲的数字背后,暗含着诸如学历贬值、就业难、人力资源浪费、人才培养与社会需求脱节等一系列影响劳动市场和经济发展的问题。具体来说,虽然韩国社会的发展仍然需要大批高水平的技术型人才,但由于社会整体对高学历的崇拜和对职业学校的歧视,绝大部分学生以进入职业高中学习为耻。许多学生即便进入以培养实务技术人才为目标的
South Korea’s penetration of higher education has traditionally been far above the average for the OECD countries and reached a record high of 83.8% in 2008. However, behind this proud figure, there are a series of problems that affect the labor market and economic development, such as devaluation of academic qualifications, employment difficulties, waste of human resources, dislocation of personnel training and social needs. Specifically, while the development of Korean society still requires a large number of high-level technical talents, most students are ashamed of entering vocational high schools because of the society as a whole adoreing highly educated and discriminating against vocational schools.
