“合作原则”和“礼貌原则”作为语用学中的两个基本语用原则相互补充,构成社会交际的基本理论。本文从中西方文化差异出发,论述中西方“合作原则”的违背体现在礼貌原则上的差异,说明跨文化交际背景下由于交际双方对两种语用原则的侧重点不同,对方应相互尊重彼此的的礼貌原则,才不会阻碍彼此间的交流。 “Cooperative Principle ” and “Politeness Principle ” as the two basic pragmatic principles in pragmatics complement each other to form the basic theory of social communication. This article, starting from the cultural differences between China and the West, expounds the difference between the principle of politeness and the principle of “cooperation” between China and the West. It shows that in the context of intercultural communication, since the two parties have different emphases on the two pragmatic principles, each other should respect each other The politeness principle of each other will not hinder the communication between each other.
