家朋乡地处安徽省绩溪县东北隅,距县城42公里,介于两省(皖浙)三县市(绩溪县、宁国市、临安市)交汇处,国土面积90余平方公里,辖8个村民委员会,68个自然村,99个村民小组,全乡共有3835户,总人口12969人,其中农业人口12432人,耕地面积6090亩,其中水田5310亩,山场约14万亩。乡名是为了纪念黄继光式英雄许家朋而命名的。经省红色旅游工作领导小组成员单位评审,2013年家朋乡荣获
