大型曲面的铣削加工,通常使用的刀具是四齿螺旋球头铣刀(如图1)。刀体为高速钢,球头刀刃要求保持在同一R球面上,刃磨难度大,而且精度不易提高,球头横刃宽,加工光洁度也差。若单件小批生产,不同类型的零件型面曲率不同时,球头半径R也要作相应变化,需配备一批不同“R”的球头铣刀,显然是不经济的。为此,设计了一组曲面铣刀(见图2)来代替球头铣刀,不仅加工光洁度好,精度高,并且刀具结构简单,成本低,制作也容
