In this paper, fifteen rare earth elements Versatic-10 salts were synthesized by the double decomposition method. The chemical composition, the thermal analysis and the infrared absorption spectrum were used to determine the composition of the salt as Ln (C_9H_ (19) COO) 3 · nH_2O [ Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, n = 1 ~ 3] or Ln (C_9H_ (19) COO) _3 [Ln is other rare earth elements]. Infrared analysis shows that the Ln-O bonds of the rare earth elements and the carboxyl oxygen in the above salt are similar in intensity and mainly have ionic bond but also contain covalent components.
