98年金秋时节,我已染疾近年,人很虚弱。只要天气允许,总是上午在庭院绿荫下静坐。有时家人陪伴,或好友来访,都在此进行。这里就是我养神、观叶的最佳境界。座之背后,栽有大树遮天成荫。树干之间,砖篱外是毛叶丁香长成的绿丛,篱内是棕榈植成密林。观叶植物性喜半阴,植此林下,长势欣欣向荣:龟背竹、麒麟尾其气根贴砖而生,黄金葛、白金葛、金叶葛牵藤四处攀升,盆栽金脉合果芋与花叶细辛的叶片体现着大自然造化之美,波斯顿蕨叶色翠绿有如少女面纱,观之不想离去。
