FASTTCP是一种全新的面向长距离高带宽环境的TCP协议,它从根本上改变了传统TCP的拥塞控制机制。本文详细介绍了FASTTCP的结构组成,并从带宽利用率、TCP友好性以及公平性等多个方面对它的性能与传统TCP进行了比较分析。证明了它在长距离高带宽环境下较传统TCP具有非常大的优势。
FASTTCP is a new TCP protocol for long-haul high-bandwidth environments that fundamentally changes the traditional TCP congestion control mechanism. In this paper, the structure of FASTTCP is introduced in detail, and the performance of FASTTCP is compared with the traditional TCP in terms of bandwidth utilization, TCP friendliness and fairness. It proves that it has more advantages than traditional TCP in long distance and high bandwidth environment.
