全国人大副委员长、氏进中央主席雷洁琼不仅是一位政治活动家,还是我国老一辈的社会学专家。她19岁时漂洋过海,到美国留学,先后在加州大学和南加州大学攻读化学和社会学,1931年获美国加州大学社会学硕士学位,回国后接受燕京大学的聘任从事教学工作。抗日战争爆发后,雷洁琼到江西从事培训妇女干部的工作,发动广大妇女积极参加抗战服务,投身到抗日救亡的火热斗争之中。 NPC Vice Chairman Lei Shijin’s visit to the Central Committee is not only a political activist, but also an expert on sociology of the older generation in our country. She flew across the sea at the age of 19, went to the United States to study abroad, studied chemistry and sociology at the University of California and the University of Southern California, received a master’s degree in sociology from the University of California in 1931, and returned to Yenching University to engage in teaching. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Lei Jieqiong went to Jiangxi to work on training of women cadres and mobilized vast numbers of women to actively participate in the war service and join the fiery struggle against Japan and the nation.
