湖北省洪湖市黄家口镇湘口村,村民是1972年从其他地方来的移民。当时的湘口村是一片荒无人烟的沼泽地,年年种地要贷款,吃粮靠返销。1984年后,在村委会的领导下,因地制宜,挖鱼池养鱼。到目前全村共有鱼塘1420亩,果园120亩,水稻田430亩。1992年产值256万元,1993年产值预计达276万元;人均纯收入预计达1600元。全村固定资产196万元,村有自有资金40万元。
