This is certainly not a coincidence. The first feature film in New China was the “Bridge” (1949) taken by Dong Ying (predecessor of Chang Ying). The working class was first introduced to become the protagonist of the screen and was then hailed as “epoch-making work.” In 1975, breaking the cultural monarchy of the “Gang of Four,” Chang Chuan Ying also courageously disseminated the oil workers represented by Wang Jinxi and launched “Entrepreneurship,” playing a high praise of the Chinese working class for the hard work of socialism. Opened the first stage of literature and art in the new era. From “Bridge” to “Entrepreneurship” to “Liberation” of Chang Ying in recent years, “Men Going Far” demonstrated the era consciousness of the new Chinese industrial feature films that came into being. According to the rough statistics, in the 41 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Chang Ying has taken a total of 45 industrial theme films and the famous playwright Yu Min has created five works such as “The Bridge” and “The Fire Is Red” (1962).
