随着工业发展,人们对水质和健康关系的认识以及检测手段的提高,对饮用水的要求越来越严格,规定的项目不断增加,对限值的要求也不断提高。在净水过程中,强调快速并充分的混合,完善的絮凝和良好的沉淀,以获得过滤前所需要的预处理要求。快滤池滤速渐趋提高。应用多层滤料和直接过滤有增加的趋势。由于应用聚合电解质作助凝剂,使过滤后水质有明显改善,滤速可能提高。用氯消毒在防止肠道病传染和提高净水效果起了重要作用。由于加氯后将使自来水中氯仿含量有明显提高,正在积极寻找氯的替代物和降低卤代甲烷含量的措施,但至今氯仍是主要的消毒剂。由于世界上不少河流受到污染,在治理河流污染的同时,为了保证出水水质,有的水厂从远处取得较好的水源,有的积极寻求并发展受污染水的净水工艺。
