生在上海,长在黄埔江边。少年当海军,青年考入了舰艇学院,学的是航海专业,毕业后当了航海教员;参加广我国首次赴南极科学考察,航行过世界各大洋;曾担任航海系主任,现在主编两份航海刊物。这就是陆儒德,一个一生与海结缘的海洋问题专家的人生之路。 陆教授身材高大,国字型的脸,穿一身笔挺的蓝军装,肩上扛着两杠四星,典型的军人气质,又不失学者之风。有人曾开玩笑说,陆教授有将军的料、文人的才,确实几十年来,各种各样的机遇都曾向他敞开过胸怀,但都又擦肩而过,只有大海,一直将他紧紧拥抱。走进陆教授那间不足8平方米的书房,除了书还是书,都是有关海洋的。老伴开玩笑说:“他成天都泡在‘海’里,满脑袋都是海。”
