河北省东光县位于冀东平原,是一个经济欠发达的农业县,现辖9个乡镇(撤乡并镇前为21个乡镇)、447个行政村,农业人口 30.5万人,1996年人均纯收入1802元。为了解决农民的医疗保障问题,自1995年起,县委、县政府决定恢复农村合作医疗。面对农村新的经济形式,他们立足当地实际,不搞一种模式,实行了多种形式并存的农村合作医疗制度,为农村合作医疗探索出了一条新路子。
Dongguang County, Hebei Province, is located in the eastern plain of Jidong. It is an agricultural county with underdeveloped economy.
