Methods: The self-designed questionnaires were used to conduct on-site investigation of general practitioners of community health service stations affiliated to 12 community health service centers affiliated to Yinzhou District Health Bureau of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Results: Experienced, highly educated, 30-40-year-old community doctors with less experienced mainteachers, more newly graduated college and technical secondary school graduates, scarce senior staff in the community, and unqualified rural doctors accounted for all community doctors 23.3% of the total. Due to the problems left over by history, the structural composition of grassroots community GPs is not reasonable and there is a big health and safety risk. The configuration of community general practitioners should be adjusted to rationalize the preparation structure in all aspects such as academic record, age and professional title, Doctors really take on the people “health gatekeeper ” responsibility.
