在论及惊险片的得失时,评者往往以悬念设置的巧拙奇平为绳墨衡量之;而在论及文艺片的高下时,则常以人物性格刻划的鲜明与否加以评判。然笔者在观片过程中,觉得惊险片的创作亦应有“性格意识”,而文艺片的创作似亦应有“悬念意识”。试以联邦德国的《黑林城堡》,和日本的《伤痕累累的勋章》为例。虽然两部作品都在揭乐谋财害命的因果关系,但其审美追求和表现的重心是不同的。《黑》片仅把“谋财”作为案件的发端,
When it comes to the merits and demerits of thrilling films, critics often measure the ingenuity of cleverness and precision; while in the discussion of literary and artistic films, they are often judged by the sharpness of characterization.
