为研究田菁参与轮作的肥田效能和增产作用,我们从1963年夏季开始,于聊城县蒋官屯区马官屯大队进行了肥效试验。试验处理分田菁翻压后种小麦,绿豆翻压后种小麦及休闲三个处理。采用随机区组法,重复三次,小区面积0.1亩。试验地土壤为轻壤土,地势低洼,土壤瘠薄,酸碱度8.2。前茬小麦收获后,于6月28日用双铧犁耕翻,深12厘米,随耙二遍。7月5日用耧挑沟撒种田菁、绿豆,每亩播种量6斤,行距6寸。播后五天出苗,9月6日刈割,此时田菁株高95厘米,茎粗0.6厘米,亩产鲜草2830斤。9月11日铡碎后用旧犁翻压,9月30日播种小麦。
