近年来,湖北省宜都市按照“打造江南经济走廊,奋力冲刺全国百强”发展目标,招商引资力度不断加大,各类建设项目与日俱增,建设领域拖欠农民工工资案件时有发生。宜都市人社局从维护社会和谐稳定大局出发,把预防和解决农民工工资问题作为一项重要而紧迫的任务来抓,采取有力措施,使这一问题得到了有效遏制。同时也要看到,拖欠现象并未根本杜绝,由此引发的上访信访事件仍有发生。
