本文利用内容分析法,通过比较中美主流媒体对领导人换届的后续报道以探析各自在政治议题设置上之差异。研究发现:首先,《人民日报》对中国领导人换届更侧重政治合法性议题;其次,《华盛顿邮报》更侧重领导人的政务议题;再次,政治沟通的功能差异则主要表现在《华盛顿邮报》更强调多元主体的政治信息沟通,及不同利益主体的对话功能,而《人民日报》更强调执政党作为政治沟通的关键主体,因此,其政治沟通更侧重单向的政治信息传递。
By using the content analysis method, this article compares the different coverage of political topics between China and the United States through the follow-up reports on the change of leaders. The study found that: First of all, “People’s Daily” changed the topic of political legitimacy to Chinese leaders more. Secondly, the “Washington Post” focused more on the leaders’ political issues. Thirdly, the differences in political communication were mainly manifested in the "Washington Post The newspaper emphasizes more on the communication of political information among multiple subjects and on the dialogue between different stakeholders. The People’s Daily even emphasizes that the ruling party is the key subject of political communication. Therefore, its political communication focuses more on one-way transmission of political information.
