Dr. Mark Heiman from Indianapolis demonstrated a new sugar-controlling approach at the conference. The new treatment can change the gut microflora in patients with pre-diabetes and type-2 diabetes in only four weeks. Not only did oral glucose tolerance improved, but cholesterol and inflammatory markers were also reduced. Dr Heiman said that while previous microbial research was focused on analyzing the types of bacteria in manure, our team went deeper into the study- “In the faecal sample, what can be detected in addition to the bacteria? ”We detected glucose, lactate and a host of other substances in our feces.
