研究表明,当代校长应具备的基本素质恰同于教师所须具备的素质,舍身心素养、人格素养、知识素养、能力素养以及思想观念五方面;而学校领导者的素质则是校长应具备的核心素质,包括管理意识、管理能力以及领导者人格特征三方面。具有时代特征的“现代信息技术应用能力”和“企划、经营、创新”的意识与能力备受重视。选拔校长必须把握校长素质结构的层次性,坚持从基本素质过硬的教育教学工作者中挑选;校长培训则应重在分层次的专业化教学,并引导校长素质全面发展。
