隐喻既是一种修辞手段,也是一种认知模式。在语言跨文化交际中,人们容易对英语隐喻喻义的认知和理解产生歧义。因此有必要了解英语的隐喻化过程,在汉译过程中,采用适当的翻译方法,正确传达隐喻的喻义,以免造成误译。本文首先对隐喻进行解释,继而揭示其本质特征,通过实例来探讨英语隐喻的理解与翻译。 Metaphor is not only a rhetorical device, but also a cognitive model. In intercultural communication, one can easily disambiguate the cognition and understanding of English metaphorical metaphors. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the metaphorical process of English. In the process of Chinese translation, appropriate translation methods are used to correctly convey the metaphor’s metaphor so as to avoid mistranslation. This paper first explains the metaphor, and then reveals its essential characteristics, through examples to explore the understanding and translation of English metaphor.
