虽然我国的英文版科技期刊已具有一定的基础和规模,但仍不能适应科学的发展与要求。目前我国多数英文版期刊的总体现状是:国际化程度不高,规模小,影响因子低,发行量少,分散经营,经济效益较差。为保证我国英文版期刊的健康发展,在鼓励创办英文版期刊的同时,要强调积极、稳妥、适度,切忌仅仅追求表面效应。要强调保障和提高学术质量、编辑质量、出版印刷质量、在同专业中的认知程度等的内在质量。办好英文版期刊的基本条件是:举办方在期刊所报道的领域具有国际领先水平或一定优势或知名度;掌握国际发展趋势并在此基础上能组建一个国际化的编委会;具有较好基础,适应或基本胜任英文版编辑工作的编辑队伍;较好的经济基础或经费来源。英文版期刊应努力做到稿源、审稿国际化,编辑工作现代化,期刊网络化。英文版期刊的经营发展趋势是集团式的多刊经营,形成规模化优势。在目前阶段,英文版期刊的健康发展需要在政策上给予更多支持。 Although our English version of scientific journals already has a certain foundation and scale, it still can not meet the requirements of scientific development.
