记得抗日战争胜利前后,欧阳予倩同志在桂林办艺术馆剧团,专业演员只雇用十来人,其他人员均特邀业余戏剧爱好者参加,照样成功地演出了《雷雨》《日出》《天国春秋》这样的大戏。欧阳老还常常打着油纸雨伞步行到十来里外的郊区学校去排戏。欧阳老是多么重视业余戏剧活动啊! 建国以后,由于社会主义的优越性,国家养了庞大的专业戏剧队伍。于是不少人就认为业余戏剧活动可有可无了。这种偏颇,显然破坏了戏剧园地的“生
