Objective To observe the effects of low levels of lead exposure during pregnancy on infant behavioral development. Methods The levels of lead in pregnant women, maternal and umbilical cord blood were measured and correlated with 3-month-old Bayley infant behavioral record scale scores to find the 70th percentile (0.254μml / L ) As the cut-off point, divided into relatively high lead group and low lead group for t test. Results Six of the 30 behavioral scores of 3-month-old Bayley infant behavior records were negatively correlated with the level of lead exposure during pregnancy. The differences in social competence, persistence and coordination among infants born with high blood lead and low blood lead Significant. Conclusions Lead exposure during pregnancy may have adverse effects on infant behavior even at low levels.
