颞叶癫痫是癫痫中临床表现复杂、多样,且包含多种发作状况的一型,具有癫痫的发作性、刻板性、短暂性的共同特性,是最常见的难治性癫痫之一。近年来,磁共振成像(MRI)技术随着硬件设备的改进及软件技术的开发得到了日新月异的发展,其中的弥散张量成像技术对颞叶癫痫的颞叶结构和颞叶外结构的研究有了很大进展,可以发现常规MRI检查不能显示的隐匿性病变,对临床的定位和外科治疗提供了有利的依据。
