田间试验表明,若干水稻品种对褐稻虱具有中抗或抗的特性。但采用国际上的标准苗期集团筛选法,不能将这些品种从感虫品种中区分出来。只有采用改良的筛选法,即当秧苗具有3.5~4.5片叶时,每苗平均接入2~3龄若虫5头,可以达到上述的目的。生存率和群体建立的测定只能鉴别兼有抗生性和耐害性的中抗品种;而蜜露量的测定则可作为抗性的可靠指标之一。
Field experiments showed that some rice varieties had medium resistance or anti-resistance to brown planthopper. However, using the international standard seedling group screening method, these varieties can not be distinguished from susceptible varieties. Only by using the improved screening method, that is, when the seedlings have 3.5 to 4.5 leaves, an average of 2 to 3 instar nymphs are inserted into each seedling, and the above purpose can be achieved. Survival rates and population-based assays can only identify moderately resistant varieties that are both resistant and tolerant; the determination of honeydew volume is one of the reliable indicators of resistance.
