Objective To study the association between twitch syndrome and toxoplasmosis in children. Provide a reference for clinical prevention and treatment of the disease. Methods Thirty children with tic disorder admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to January 2012 were selected as the observation group and 120 healthy children were selected randomly as the control group. Toxoplasma gondii IgG antibodies were detected by ELISA in two groups of children. The use of x2 test for statistical analysis to understand the relationship between twitch syndrome and children with Toxoplasma infection. Results The positive rate of tic disorder was 23.3%, while the positive rate of control group was 7.5%. The positive rate of infection in control group was lower than that of tic children (P <0.05). There was a significant difference between the two groups. Conclusions There is a correlation between twitch syndrome and Toxoplasma infection in children.
